Your Learning Management System needs to have its very own roadmap. You need to have a plan in place to ensure your maximise your system and develop a successful process for your learners to navigate and complete.
When it comes to strategizing a plan for your LMS you need to set goals and create a timeline. Goal setting and your timeline are closely linked. They need to work cohesively to ensure the ultimate end-results.
When it comes to your timeline, consider when certain tasks need to be completed, and the goals that comes with the completion of these tasks. For example, determine what date you would like full staff competency by.
Make sure your goals are realistic as well as challenging, suited to your learners.
Installation and Data Migration
Now it’s time for system migration. Yes, this sounds overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Your LMS provider is your best friend in this regard. Speak to your LMS vendor about their migration services, and let them guide you through instillation and migration of data.

Testing Time
Now installation and migration is completed and it’s time to consult your team and gain feedback. Your team should test the system and document their experiences.
Run system checks and tests. Have your instructors, administrators and IT team check the system from the students point of view – this is how you avoid being blindsided by an issue you didn’t see coming.
Gain as much feedback as possible from them and troubleshoot any issues they may have experienced before the system is made available to all users.
Always be Checking In
It is important to keep an eye on the LMS and make sure that everything is running smoothly. You want to make sure that any issue your learners may be facing is resolved quickly. This will keep you on track in regards to your timeline.
